Co2 laser

Updated: Jan 5, 2021

One of my main concerns was the area around my mouth. I had perimenopausal cystic acne. As a teenager I was never troubled with pimples at all so to have to battle with acne at this time of my life was distressing, as were the scars it left.

The MixTo Co2 laser resurfaces and is quite an aggressive treatment. The treatment itself was not so bad as I was offered comfort medication. Dr. Jubin ensured that I was very comfortable. The post treatment care required a little more attention from me. I had some swelling, redness and was itchy for about 10 days. This was when I used Aquaphor and did vinegar soaks about 3 times per day. Dr. Jubin had arranged for her assistant to call me during this time to follow up and answer any questions or concerns I had. It was amazing to see these lines and scars of the past slowly smooth and disappear!

Note from Bella Sante: The results around her mouth are extraordinary...should we do one more?

***An additional Co2 resurfacing treatment was performed just before Christmas, see the video below!

Bella Sante description:

CO2 is a carbon dioxide laser that has been used for more than 25 years in the aesthetic industry for treatment of skin conditions such as fine and coarse wrinkles, scars of various origin, uneven pigmentation and dilated pores. When the CO2 laser beam of light comes in contact with the epidermis it heats and vaporizes the skin tissue, instantly removing the superficial layers of the skin, scars and wrinkles while smoothing out the surface of the skin. This skin remodeling occurs with new skin and collagen growth for up to one year after treatment.

Fractional skin resurfacing is a revolutionary delivery system that allows the physician to treat 20-100% of the skin for much quicker healing than the traditional CO2 resurfacing treatment. Single treatments can show a significant improvement in skin texture and color.
